Tree 20-30 m tall with ridged bark. Leaves are simple. Lamina has 5 to 7 sharply pointed lobs. The cuts are round, convex. The margin is lobate with tipped dents. Flowering before leaves occur in April to May. The fruit are in pairs in samaras, the angle between them is more than 90 and less than 180 degrees. Seed cover is hairless. Shoots: Shoots are reddish-brown, shiny, thick. Natural range: Europe (to the southern Scandinavia and Ural); in our area domestic.
