Tree up to 30 m tall, with an irregular crown. The bark is deeply scattered. Leaves are odd-pinnate, up to 20 cm long. The leaflets have entire margin, on the top rounded or cut our. In early age silky hairy, later bald. The front sice is dark green, matt, the underside bluish green. The fruit are flat legumes. They are light brown-colored, bumpy. They contain kidney-shaped brown seeds, which are on the surface wrinkled. Legumes remain in the tree until the spring. Shoots: Shoots are thin, pentagonal, shiny, glabrous and twisted.
