Laburnum anagyroides
Fabaceae

Shrub or tree 5 - 13m tall. Leaves are trifoliate, 2 to 6 on the brachyblast. Leaves are rounded on the top, with short tip. The base is widely cuneate or rounded. The front leaf is dark green, matt. On the underside, the leaves are silver and hairy. Flowers yellow, arranged in overhanging grapes up to 25 cm long. Flowering in May and June. The fruit is legume, thick at the seam. Before matured they are hairy, matured brown. Seeds are dark brown, shiny. Shoots: Shoots are round, sparsely hairy, at the end with white hair. Later hairless. They are brachyblasts on shoots. Natural range: Southern Europe; in our area introduced.

Buds

Buds are ovoid with silver hair. Terminal bud is bigger.
