Shrub 2-6 m tall or tree tall 6-12 m with thorns. Leaves are simple. Lamina is ovate or circularly-ovate, lobate with 3 to 5 lobes. Lobes are longer than wider, the cuts are deep and sharp. The front leaf is dark green, shiny, the underside is greyish green, matt with wax layer. The margin is entire. Veins pointing to the lobes reaching the top of the lobe. Stipules have an entire margin with no gland dents. The flowers are white, small, arranged in corymb. The fruits are pomes arranged in Infructescence, 10-20 pomes in one. Every pome obtain just one seed. Shoots: Shoots are glabrous, green-brown, later reddish-brown. Natural range: Central, South and south-east Europe, north-west Africa; in our area domestic.
