Shrub to 4 m or tree tall cca 10 m with thorns. Leaves are simple. Lamina is obovata and has 3 to 5 lobes. Leaves lobes are short, wider than longer. The front side is olive or dark green and glabrous, the underside is light green or brownish green, hairy in the gorge of veins. The margin is crenate or dentate. The veins pointing to the lobes do not reach the top of the lobe. Stipules are serrate and serrated. White flowers forming the corymb.The fruit is red pome, 3 -10 in infructescencea. In the pome there are 2-3 pipes. Shoots: Shoots are glabrous, at first green, then the dark brown-red. Natural range: Western and Central Europe; in our area domestic.

Buds are small, alternated ovoid-spherical. Are either individually or 2 together near thorn.
