Big shrub up to 2,5 m tall with curved branches. Shoots thin, light brown, glabrous. Buds alternate, standing off. Bud scales ciliated. Leaves are simple. On brachyblasts the lamina is cuneate-elliptic, on macroblasts often three-lobate. On both sides glabrous, on the underside grey-green, in the upper third or half irregularly roughly serrated. At the basis are 3-5 longitudinal veins. The petiole is up to 6 mm long. White flowers are arranged in racemes at the end of lateral shoots. Flowering in May. Shoots: Shoots thin, light brown, glabrous. Natural range: Cultural hybrid of Asian species Spiraea cantoniensis × Spiraea trilobata.
