Common Snowberry

Deciduous shrub up to 2,5 m high, with many branches. The bark is falling apart in a thin white belts. Leaves are simple with altering shape – ovate with entire or lobate margin. The margin is warty. The underside is grayish-green. The flowers are in fascicles mostly located at the end of lateral branches. They are white-red-colored. Flowering from June to August. The fruits are white, spherical berries. Shoots: Shoots thin, brown, glabrous. The core is ligh-colored. Natural range: North America; in our area introduced.

Buds

Buds are opposite, small, light brown, with a few scales.
